История со всеми словами

Maria and Jo had planned their trip to Portugal for months. Jo had prepared a detailed itinerary: three days in bustling Lisbon, a coach trip to the palace at Sintra and a walk through the winding streets of the old Alfama district.

But Lisbon in August was hot and congested, and the streets were teeming with tourists. ‘I want somewhere tranquil,’ Maria said. So they hired a car, left the sprawling suburbs behind and drove south through lush green hills.

After hours on empty roads, they reached an isolated village that wasn’t in any guidebook. It was quaint and picturesque, with narrow streets and white houses, although a few of them were run-down and clearly empty.

Below the village they found a completely deserted beach. The view of the cliffs at sunset was breathtaking, and the whole place felt almost idyllic. ‘Forget the plan,’ Jo laughed. ‘We’re staying here.’
